Big, Gentle Z
As reported in ChicagoSports.com, Carlos Zambrano changed his pregame ways by listening to soft latin music before his start Saturday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. After a relaxing music session, Z pitched two-hit baseball over six innings.
How cute, not only does he look like a big bear, he is now a big cuddly teddy bear.
Come on Z, I do not want to hear this... I want to hear about you tearing up the clubhouse and spitting hot coffee in teammates faces. I like the Zambrano that punches his catcher for making bonehead plays, or the Z that points to his head in acknowledgment of a chorus of "boo's" from the Chicago faithful.
You are Carlos Zambrano, not Pedro Martinez. Leave the soft latin music and dancing to the likes of Peter or Kelvim Escobar. As baseball fans we need to see you rip up dugouts and scream crazy profanities.
I hope the Cubs clubhouse assistants hide all of Z's soft latin music CD's and he gets back on track to going crazy.
