Already?

The Portland Trailblazers new 40-year old errr, allegedly 19-year old overall first draft pick, Greg Oden, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee following an MRI showing some cartilage problems.

Do the Blazers have a Mr. Glass on their hands? Oden was hampered by a wrist injury throughout his stay at Ohio State and suffered from tonscillectomy in the Las Vegas summer league. There is not a timetable on his return to the Blazers, which open training camp in three weeks.

Hmmmm... do the Blazers have another draft blunder on their hands? Perhaps reminiscent of 1984, when they took Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan? Kevin Durant may not be the next Jordan, but he was impressive when playing with Team USA. But as the motto goes, "you cannot teach size".

At least Oden will have Darius Miles to hang out with on the pine. Miles knows of all the best positions on the bench; so Oden will be in good hands.
