Monday Night Football - Week 1

Monday Night Football just concluded for the evening and both games were highly entertaining. But as I said before, high disappointment regarding Chad Johnson's TD dance in the 27-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

In a rehearsed dance, Johnson ran to the sidelines where he quickly threw on an oversized replica NFL hall of fame jacket. That was it?!?! Where are the dance moves? This is not fashion class, we want to see the dance moves. I could have blown the world away in primetime with my famous "bunny" dance. Ocho Cinco, call me, I can give you some dance lessons.

The Ravens had a chance to tie it at the end, but when you have the ball in Kyle Boller's hands what do you expect? Not that Steve McNair was much better, handing over four of the Ravens' six turnovers.

Alex Smith and the 49ers came through in the final minute to overcome the Arizona Cardinals in a 20-17 win. The game was not an offensive beauty, but was a good watch as each respective defensive squad played well. At one point the Cardinals had five penalties in eight plays, not good. Another crushing loss for the Cardinals, wish we had Dennis Green around for his post game comments.

And I actually preferred the second set of announcers on ESPN. The "Mike cubed" squad. It pains me to say that because I am a big Tony Kornheiser fan, and thought the addition of Ron Jaworski would make them the clear-cut better announcing squad for the night.

And finally, it was a sad day for Kevin Everett and his family yesterday, and things do not look to be getting better as of right now. It is unfortunate things like this happen in sports. Wish the best for Everett and his family.
