Roll It Up, Light It Up
Denver Broncos starting running back, Travis Henry, may face a one-year suspension after failing a drug test. Henry must have known that he was going to fail the test, because he tried to get a restraining order to stop the league from using the results.
Henry may be suspended one year if he failed a test before October 1 based on a previous violation of the drug policy. He currently holds the league lead in rushing yards.
This is good news for my division in fantasy football because the first place team has Henry as the starting running back. My Ronnie Brown pick in the first round is not looking so bad, eh?
In other drug violation news... Marion Jones has admitted to using steroids before the 2000 Olympics in a letter to close friends and family. She will plead guilty to two counts of lying to federal agents on Friday.
She claims to have been under the knowledge that the "clear" was actually flaxseed oil given to her from her coach.
How could she not realize that she was using performance-enhancing drugs until three years later? I just do not get how athletes, who achieve to have the perfect body, do not question what they are putting into their bodies.
She may have to give up her five medals from the Sydney Olympics. If they take her three gold medals away that has to suck for the person that came second to her.
Seven years removed from the 2000 Olympics... "I know you stood below Jones on the podium with your silver medal back in Sydney... but you can now envision yourself standing at the top because here is your gold medal! Now give me the silver medal so I can give this one back."
