"I Just Got Back From Red Lobster"

The famous words from Isiah Thomas on the Jim Rome Show.

If you did not know by now, a jury ordered the New York Knicks owner to pay $11.6 million to a former executive for sexual harassment charges against Isiah Thomas and the Madison Square Garden.

MSG and chairman James Dolan will have to pay the $11.6M; with MSG covering $8.6 and Dolan covering the final $3M. Thomas will have not have to cover any of the charges.

This just gets better and better for the New York Knicks, and mainly Thomas. But Knicks guard Stephon Marbury also treated the case as a joke. As he left the courtroom after he testified, he joked about the case and how "Money makes you do crazy things, man." Then he left the courthouse smiling and singing out loud.

It is not bad enough that Thomas has driven that team six feet under, but now he has this on his reputation. What has happened to the hard-nosed, hardworking Knicks of the '90s? This team needs to be completely overhauled, starting with Thomas.

The team has been horrible the last few years with Thomas at the helm, and has not shown any improvement since he has taken the coaching position. He built the current squad himself and has only brought a bad image to the club. Sure, the Knicks games still sell out, but having an embarrasing image will not allow the team win anymore fans.

I am surprised NBA commissioner, David Stern, has been silent about the case so far. But, it is still early and he may have a say in this issue soon.

Save the NBA some fans: fire Thomas, buyout Marbury's contract, and keep the Knicks organization inline.

Its hard not to make an argument on why the NBA keeps losing fans as the years go on...
